About Menomonie, WI

Menomonie, a small-medium sized city of 16,000, is located one hour east of Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN and one half hour west of Eau Claire.

Located along Lake Menomin and Red Cedar River, the town was founded on logging and has evolved today into agriculture, education, manufacturing and service businesses, and recreation and tourism.

The area offers many lakes and rivers, miles of biking, skiing and snowmobiling trails, and hundreds of acres of beautiful woodlands. Anchored by the Historic Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts, Menomonie's Main Street has been designated a national Downtown Historic District, with a restoration and revitalization program currently under way.
