We will absolutely miss this lovely home—and even more, the neighbors who all truly care about each other and made us feel so welcome here. Starting with the community first: there are monthly movie nights in the community room, a lively book club, and the beloved biannual “loft crawls,” when doors open, conversation flows, and plates of snacks do quiet laps around the hall. Even HOA meetings are genuinely fun, which says everything about the tone of this building. Reserving the community room is free and done online, so hosting a birthday toast or a cozy screening night takes minutes, not planning headaches. Truly a gem. The elevator is fast, the common hallways are very wide, and there’s an assigned bike-rack space so your wheels are ready for Saturday rides. In the community gym, you’ll actually use what’s here—two treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, benches, and a squat rack. HOA dues include water, internet, on-site management, and strong reserves, which we’ve found keeps everything humming. Two pets are allowed, which gave us nice flexibility over the years. You'll own a piece of history by purchasing this unit which once housed "Empire Builder" James J. Hill’s personal office. You can feel the calm purpose in the tall barrel arched ceilings and generous natural light. We made thoughtful updates throughout—professionally installed LVP in both bedrooms and the closet, plus fresh paint—so mornings feel easy and evenings feel unhurried. Laundry is in the unit. Storage and parking are unusually good for downtown living. Downstairs, a large basement storage room (#6) can store plenty of luggage, seasonal decor, and all the “just in case” gear. Across the street, the detached garage gives you two deeded, side-by-side stalls on the first floor—both included in the price—so coming home with groceries or weekend finds is as simple as it should be. The location adds a little sparkle to ordinary moments. From the living room windows, you catch the European Christmas Market twinkling in winter. Step outside and you’re a few strides to the Saint Paul Farmer’s Market and CHS Field. It’s an easy place to live well, with just enough history to feel special and just enough community to feel connected.
